Maren Talbot, a long-time HOS Member, former Committee Member and supporter, presented the society with a beautiful cut glass trophy featuring a Cypripedium. This was to be awarded to the photographer responsible for the best image entered in the annual HOS Photography Show.

With the addition of classes for projected digital images it has been the practice to select a top image from both the digital and print classes. A decision is then made as to which warrants award of the Maren Talbot Photographic Trophy.

The award is known as "The Maren Talbot Photographic Trophy" and has been awarded each year since 2006. The winners and their images are shown below.
